Product Description

Baheda, (Terminalia Belerica) is a powerhouse of Ayurveda.

The extract is derived from the fruits which are from a large tree found throughout India. The fruit appear in drupes and are gray in color and sweet in taste.  Indian and Chinese history has used this herb in conjunction with Amla and Harada to help with digestion and even as a calming sleep aid.

Tripahala has Baheda as one of its components. This because the effects of baheda are more pronounced when paired with Amla and Harada to form “Triphala” which finds use in a wide array of areas ranging from rejuvenating and digestive to cardio protective properties.

 It is astringent, tonic. Ayurveda uses it  for coughs and sore throats. Also a tonic for  premature graying of hair. It is also used in oxalic acid and preparation of ink. premature graying of hair. 

Use:

 To use combine 1/2 oz per 4 cups of water to make a tea. Half cup is equal a single serving. The best way is to make a strong decoction (using a coffee filter press if possible) with boiling water.
